Dark Age of Camelot is a 3D medieval fantasy MMORPG that revolves around the war between three realms at the end of King Arthur's rule: Arthurian-inspired Albion, Norse mythology inspired Midgard and Celtic Hibernia.  Dark Age of Camelot is fun, it can be very intense, it can be boring at times, and it is so large that just exploring the realm to see the gorgeous artwork is a challenge unto itself.  Dark Age of Camelot is still teeming with players, so finding companions is easy.  Dark Age of Camelot is still one of the best online role-playing games on the market, and by extension, one of the best such games to date.  Dark Age of Camelot is a deep, complex game that can take a while to learn.  Dark Age of Camelot is played throughout the world in seven languages.  Dark Age of Camelot is a game you can play for hundreds of hours.

Players

Players enter the game by creating acharacter, choosing a realm and one of the unique in habitants as their avatar.  Players who engage in this style of play often join together in an in-game text chat known as a "Battle Group" and are generally concerned with Realm vs Realm warfare as a whole: taking keeps and towers (also known as 'siege play'), capturing relics, and fighting the other realms' zerg(s).  Players choose which realm to serve during character creation: noble Albion, brutal Midgard, or mystical Hibernia.  Players will have to work together to "fix" what has gone wrong with their realm when the dragon's arrive.  Players can with quests and eventually join up in a raid for the end content.  Players will interact, as the champions of the realm, with the kings to assist their realm in fighting the rebellion.  Players really feel as if they have traveled to another world when they enter another realm.  Players can influence the encounters at any time by interrupting their enemies movements.  Players are able to travel by boat, explore islands withinthe ruins, swim to submerged dungeons, and battle new creatures in underwatercaves.  Players now have a wide choice with five new classes of character: two in the Realm of Midgard (the Middle Earth of Scandinavian legends) : the Valkyrie and the Warlock; two in the Realm of Hibernia (the Latin name for Ireland) : the Vampiir and the Bainshee; one in the Realm of Albion: the Heretic.

Character

Characters are no longer restricted in their Tradeskill choice.  Characters with sufficiently high support skills (such as metalworking, etc) can salvage these items for their raw materials, and then craft new items to be sold to NPC merchants, usually for significantly more coin than might be obtained by selling the original dropped item to an NPC merchant.  Character creation is a simple task, setting your looks, race, stats, and what profession.  Character creation is one of if not the most important part of your gaming experience.  Players enter the game by creating acharacter, choosing a realm and one of the unique in habitants as their avatar.
