Characters

Users are able to customize their character during the creation process and to go along with most MMO's, you will have a broad range of facial and body features you can change to try to make your character look as unique as possible.  After choosing a physical appearance, users will select professions, finish up splitting up ability points, select some skills and designate a background story for their character.  There are four ways characters can't team up and work with other users and they are Factions, alliances, allegiances and clans.

Factions are an in-game group of characters such as Silics or Hell Riders.  They are not player controlled and each user has a rating with each faction that are are based on race, number of faction kills and by the results of the faction missions you can choose to compete in. 

An alliance is just a group of factions that are interrelated(usually by treaties).  While all users start off the game as being "neutral" although ratings are tweaked based on whether your character is Human or Mutant.  Every character can join an alliance which is known as "declaring an allegiance."  In order to declare an allegiance, users much strive to help the faction and work toward their goal.  This includes taking and completing missions, hunting downs enemies or taking out the nasty creatures around the group.  After becoming a member of a faction, users will be able to achieve a faction rank and be granted passage to faction-only areas and they can also own land on the faction. Users will only be able to join one faction at a time but can leave after a certain amount of time.  Also if your faction rating drops down to an unacceptable level, users can be kicked out of a faction!  Clans are player-related and are similar to those found in any MMO.  Members of enemy or warring factions cannot join the clan and just like with a faction, if your clan rating drops down to a low number, you can find yourself automatically kicked out of of the clan.
