A planet-wide sterilization attempt has left Earth a smoldering, toxic heap of its former splendor. Governments have eroded into sparse, fortified towns. Three factions-Human, BioMek, and Mutant-have emerged from the devastation, each struggling for sole dominance of an obliterated world. Auto Assault is at its heart a MMOG with RP elements. Whether you choose to take on NPC given missions or go head-to-head with other players, this game is all about vehicular combat on a grand scale. Take on the role of one of three factions and explore a post-apocalyptic future in customizable cars, motorcycles, semis and even tanks. Choose to play as a Human and fight to preserve what remains of humanity, as a Borg-like BioMek and extol the virtues of a mechanically driven world, or as a Mutant and spread the word of divinity via a holy crusade. Each faction endeavors to carry out their aims with the aid of abilities unique to each of them.

Even the most impressive array of weapons won’t keep your vehicle from eventually becoming a grease stain. However, unlike other MMOGs, Auto Assault has no death penalty, so there are no consequences to dying. While most of your time playing will be spent in rolling machine of death, there are small towns and villages to explore where you can pick up missions, goods and services. There’s no fighting in these little peaceful oasis though. You’ll have to feed your need for action in the great outdoors instead. And that action is similar to a 3rd person shooter, with movement, aiming and firing all done in real time with keyboard and mouse.
