Irth Online

Irth Online is a new MMORPG by Magic Hat Software. Irth Online is a virtual world in which people roleplay characters in a free form fantasy based storyline.

In Irth Online, players may choose to participate in a game storyline, or play independently living their own character's history, outside of the existing storyline.

Players join Irth's history at a period when the three main civilizations are rebuilding the peace. A tentative truce currently exists among the far flung civilizations of the snowy Arcadians in the north, the southeastern swamps and marshes of Morbus, and the southwestern tropical region of Mezoteks.

Irth Online also allows players to reject citizenship of their birthplace and instead play as a nomad only loosely affiliated with a "free city".

Irth Online doesn't limit players to choose a class: any race of character may learn any skill in the game, in any skill tree available. While some races will be significantly better at certain racially weighted skills than others and will have substantially better opportunities to learn racially weighted skills for their race and civilizations, players are not limited in their ability to learn and change their skillset.

Many forms of battle and fighting are offered our players: player vs. environment (fighting non-player characters, humanoid, monster and animal), player vs. player (players fighting each other), and civilization vs. civilization (large scale warfare and siege, both organized and unregimented.) Players may explore, travel or wage war on the ground, on the sea and in the air. Players may travel or combat on foot, on boat or by horseback - or by wings in the case of some non-human races.

There's plenty to do outside of warfare in Irth Online. Our in-depth crafting system allows players to create thousands of items using the resources available in the world. Players may build and create player run housing and business establishments: from theaters and workshops to taverns and inns. A player might, for example, exist happily as a tavern keeper in game, never having gone to battle.

The persistent world environment of Irth Online features social systems including an organized military, government, courts and businesses - all driven by players.
